New Ventures

To occupy my time away from my supposed full-time work at Viva; I started my own business.

Love, Lyka

It consists of Lyka's Cupcakes, Graphic Designs, Journals/Writing Samples, and Make-Up/Hairstyling

I started Lyka's Cupcakes just a month ago. I didnt think I had the passion to bake but I found it quite fun and makes me feel like little Miss Susie Homemaker. I want to expand it to decorating cakes, cookies, sandwiches, and more. In time, when my cupcake business expands, I can own my own bakery and restaurant.

Not only do I have Lyka's Cupcakes, I specialize in designing ads, logos, business cards, etc. Ask me what you want and I'll show you some designs.

I happen to be an all around person and do many things. I can't really find just one thing to focus on. I also write. I write mostly about social lifestyle, experiences, food, and people. I write how I feel. It makes the articles more alive when you get to put your feelings in what you write.

I started doing Make-Up and Hair since I was 10. It was something I was passionate about but never really pursued it to a full-time business. It wasn't something I was interested in pursuing as a full time. It was me being good at something rather than something you love doing. If my path had gone that way, I wouldn't mind because it was something I was good at. Many people like my family thought it wasn't a great job to have because their idea of a well-paying job is to be a doctor, lawyer, engineer, professor, accountant, or all the things that pay big...to them its more about how much you make rather than how much you love it.

If you ask what I do at Viva, just wait and see. I don't want to say much about it because it's not in my nature to talk about something that is uncertain of but hope it goes well.

I just wish I had all the things I have here would happen in my Mother Land of USA. I miss home very much but knowing that the economy is down and everyone is stressed out trying to find jobs, its ok for me to stay here in the Philippines for now. But one day, I hope that everything I prayed for will happen for me...

How to Start Your Day

We usually have the same daily routines every morning. I'll tell you how I start my day.

I wake up to birds chirping outside my window and hear the babies cry next door. Then I get up, use the bathroom, wash my face, then go downstairs to smell a fresh cup of Lipton Yellow Label Tea waiting for me on the dining table. I drink it every morning and eat any kind of breakfast. If you want to know what I have it with, then Ill elaborate on that. On some days, I prepare scrambled eggs with tomatoes and onions and stuff it in pandesal (dinner rolls). On other days, I have bacon and garlic rice or just bread and butter.

Lipton Yellow Label Tea has theanine that helps you relax, stay focus, and alert. The Hirameki gives you inspiration and the light bulb turns on on top of your head with the words of "I've got an idea!" sort of thing.

Have a great day and feel inspired!
