Frosty Spoon

What is everyone's favorite dessert?

Most common answer would be ice cream..correct?!

Well this ice cream joint, Frosty Spoon, I thought one of the best places to go to for dessert. They also serve filipino food and appetizers aside from dessert.

My dessert- brownie with vanilla ice cream on top drizzled with hot fudge..

Palabok (sp?)Nachos..yum
Frosty Spoon is located in Santa Rosa, Philippines

The British Bulldog

This isn't your typical restaurant in the Philippines. Its refreshing to see a different kind of feel to a restaurant, well actually its a pub not restaurant. The pub makes you feel like you're in London, watching a football game between Manchester and who gives a effin who the other team is while drinking a fat beer...ha

The owner of course is British and manages the pub with his Filipina wife in Tagatay, Philippines.

But anyway, this place was bloody cool!

This is how they the table setting look like. It reminded me of Pirates of the Caribbean.

Bruno

Lez be honezt...

When the movie Borat, was released, I knew it was going to be a dumb-ass movie and wouldn't do great in the box office.

Well when I watched it, I was laughing my ass off!! But I was definitely grossed out. I just couldn't believe that this kind of movie was released in theaters and surprisingly, did rather well. Not to mention, Sasha Barron Cohen aka "Ali G" actually won a Golden Globe for this movie.

Now a new one...Bruno.

No need to explain. Just watch it.LOL.

If you haven't seen it, go and watch it. You'll die laughing...or just die.

Joanna Lhuillier

As a big fan of fashion, bags and purses would be my biggest and most favorite accessory.

Joanna Lhuillier showed her collection at Members Only club at The Fort, Taguig City in July. She has, I'd say the most bling blinged out clutches I've seen, other than my grandmothers clutches.

Even the venue was top notch and meshed well with the showcase. It had the "Godfather" feel to it.

This is the beautiful chandelier that is so mesmerizing. As I stare at this photo more, it made me feel like I was back at my grandmother's house in Makati.

I hung out at the bar the whole time I was there. They served free drinks....soooo I took advantage of the freebies. =)
And the bartenders working hard..

100 Magazine

Been out of touch with blogspot and its feels great to be back and blogging again. Many photos to upload and many things to blog about.

This is an event from end of July I attended at greenbelt 4 for 100 magazine hosted by a colleague of mine, Karen P.

One of the reasons why I attended was the food. You can't really see what they were eating in this photo but it was damn good! The drinks they served was fab as well!

I forgot who was being interviewed (in the photo below) but I know it was the chef on the cover of 100. Well all I can say is Congrats!

District 9

The story is about a government official who was exposed to the biochemicals of the aliens forced to live in slum-like conditions in Johannesburg.

Ok my first impression of the movie was that it might suck. But I was wrong on so many levels. The beginning of the movie was pretty nasty but towards the middle and end it was really touching.I recommend everyone to watch this movie. I'd say more but I don't want to ruin it for everyone.

The Proposal

After eating at Secret Recipe, we decided to watch The Proposal to make us feel all giddy again since our entire crew and the rest of metro manila is on the break-up mode for the last 5 weeks.

I'd say watch it because its funny, sweet, and it can remind you of yourself how bitchy you can be at times.

It will give you a wake up call and make you realize how you should treat others.

Secret Recipe

Went out with BFF last week and ate at this resto that tasted like senior citizen food. But the food still tasted good and can't complain about having a healthy meal.

I forgot what we ordered but this is what it looks like:

I enjoyed that chocolate cake...which was fab!

The Ice Cream Bar

After shopping around the mall, my friends and I decided to go to The Ice Cream Bar down the street from Rockwell Powerplant. Its such a small cute spot for an ice cream restaurant. It reminds me of a mini version of The Cheesecake Factory I used to go to in San Francisco.

The mini resto also had a cute ceiling which I find quite interesting, futuristic, and inventive. It was very different from all the ice cream joints I've visited in past.

And on the wall it says "Did you know that STRESSED spelled backwards is DESSERTS?"

I ordered this fabulous dish called Manga't Suman. It's suman with vanilla ice cream drizzled with chocolate syrup. yummm!!!

Don't assume they serve ice cream only. They also serve pastas, sandwiches, burgers, and other american dishes.

After our meals at The Ice Cream Bar, we went back to the mall again to eat. This time it was at Crepes & Cream inside Rockwell.

Ensembles by Debbie Co.

This fashion show was held back in May at Glorietta 5. I know its late but at least its now or never.
It didn't come as a surprise when my agent told me that I was selected as one of the models for the fashion show. Not that I was expecting to get picked always but I had a feeling that I was going to be part of it.

I was also pretty excited about the food they served at the event, because I'm all about food. The other exciting news was that my photographer friend, Nino, won a bottle of wine.

It was a pretty fun day..except for the early calltime.

Sumosam Restaurant

We all love food right?!?

Sumosam is co-owned by Marvin Augustin and is located at Rockwell Powerplant Mall in Makati. I'd say its one of the best places to eat if you love sushi. We spent a fortune that day from eating all those gigantic plates of sushi. But its alright, I was satisfied, full, and loved.

Food is Happy. Food is Love.

"Rockin down the House"

This is the second set of the photoshoot. This was actually the first photoshoot I've done where we didn't waste any time.

I'm the type of person who doesn't have a lot of patience when it comes to waiting for people to arrive and have everything set up but that is how it goes in the "World of Fashion" and the entertainment industry.

Actually I was late for this photoshoot. LOL.

It makes you want to pull your hair out and slap people around.Right?!? LOL

In honor of MJ

This was a birthday party I hosted for two friends of mine. I suggested that we would do a Michael Jackson theme in his memory since he died 2 weeks before their birthday. And so they agreed.

Few friends and I arrived at 5:30pm and started dancing to all kinds of music, mostly MJ. From then on, it was non-stop dancin'. I sh*t you not a couple of girls danced for 8-9 hours straight even when the music stopped playing. Here are the dancing queens who let their insanity loose from that night:

We also came up with games to play for a bunch of 20 something year olds at this party. This wasn't a party for kids, but for young adults. One of them was Hep Hep Hooray!! We all know how that goes.

But overall, it was the best party I've attended so far even if it wasn't all that fancy. The key to having a great party is the booze, a crazy host, and weird fun games to play.

Hip Hip Hooray!!
